About Foundations Care

Foundations Care is a not-for-profit organisation dedicated to supporting children, young people, families and communities through protection, connection and ongoing support. With a strong focus on foster care, Foundations Care helps provide safe, stable and nurturing homes for children and young people who are unable to remain living with their families. The organisation works to support the wellbeing and individual needs of every child while, where possible, helping children maintain connections with their families and communities.

Foundations Care supports people who are interested in becoming foster carers through every stage of their foster care journey. From the initial enquiry and application process through assessment, training and approval, carers receive guidance from an experienced team. Once approved, carers are supported with matching, casework and ongoing education to help them provide the best possible care.

A range of foster care options are available, including emergency care, respite and short-break care, short-term care and long-term care. Foundations Care also provides ongoing support to carers, including access to Caseworkers, regular home visits, training and 24/7 assistance throughout the care journey.
